Everything is free by default

But… if you feel inclined, I’d love to have your support so that I can spend more time creating and sharing engaging content about investing and stocks.

Here’s what you should expect:

First things first:

  1. I’m not an analyst: Although I do research and write about businesses on here (sometimes in really long form), I don’t think you should expect to see deep analytical insights.

  2. I’m not even in the finance field: Investing in stocks is my passion, and it’s a hobby, but it’s not a profession. I plan on creating and sharing content about my experience as an individual investor, and I’d love to connect with other like-minded individual investors.

  3. What you can expect: I plan on writing about businesses I love, sharing resources I’ve found helpful (books, articles, ideas, tweets), sharing my thoughts on portfolio construction, as well as doing in-depth portfolio updates from time-to-time. Hopefully, I am still learning and evolving and I can document it all here.

  1. The businesses I love: I focus mainly on finding businesses with high returns on capital with significant opportunities to reinvest; another way of saying a “winner on an S-Curve” or a “reinvestment moat”.

“It’s obvious that if a company generates high returns on capital and reinvests at high returns, it will do well. But this wouldn’t sell books, so there’s a lot of twaddle and fuzzy concepts that have been introduced that don’t add much.” - C. Munger

  1. I think Technology, (including SaaS/Software, FinTech/Payments, and Consumer/E-commerce Platforms) is a really interesting space to search for these businesses, so that’s where I focus.

Here are some businesses I love, and if you love these businesses too, then we have a similar mindset:

    1. Apple (AAPL)

    2. Alphabet (GOOG)

    3. Amazon (AMZN)

    4. Facebook (FB)

    5. MercadoLibre (MELI)

    6. Adyen (ADYEN)

    7. Sea Limited (SE)

    8. Evolution (EVO)

    9. Atlassian (TEAM)

    10. Twilio (TWLO)

    11. Shopify (SHOP)

Here’s my current portfolio as of August 17, 2021:

  1. What I love most about investing: The most rewarding part of investing for me is meeting people who love investing as much as I do. It’s all about the journey and the insights shared along the way. Please feel free to connect with me on Twitter (@LiviamCapital) or through email (liviamcapital@gmail.com).
